At Flow Traders in the Trading Automation team, I implement software solutions and data pipelines using Go and Python that streamline business processes. Using technologies as Apache Airflow and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration, we take responisibility in delivering high-quality solutions over the entire lifecycle.
Introduction
My journey in tech began at 13 when I started tinkering with Android app development in Java. This early interest led me to pursue a master's degree in Computer Science with AI Techniques specialization at Delft University of Technology, which I completed in 2022. My master's thesis explored Graph Neural Networks for pure cold start in recommender systems.
During my studies, I landed my first software engineering job, where I gained valuable experience applying my skills in a business environment. My main focus was on designing and implementing Python web applications. This role also introduced me to the operational side of software development, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization with Docker.
Currently, I work as a Software Engineer at Flow Traders, a high-frequency trading company and the largest ETF market maker in Europe. In this role I apply the engineering skills I gained over the past few years in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Over the years I have a gained experience in quite some different ares, but my main focus was always web applications. At this moment the main programming languages I use are Go and Python. I work with the full stack, from frontend and backend development to (No)SQL databases, Docker containers and Kubernetes deployments.

Projects
AI for bears
Jan 2024 - April 2024Participating in the 'AI for Bears' challenge organized by FruitPunch AI. Goal of the project is twofold: helping ecologists doing research on bears, and preventing human-bear conflicts. Lead the team working on (re)identification of specific bears using deep (metric) learning, preferably on edge hardware.
